Maurice Kamto one of Cameroon’s opposition candidate for the October 7th 2018 Presidential Election has announced victory in the presidential election, he made the declaration today Monday 8th October 2018 at the MRC party headquarter in Yaounde Capital of Cameroon.

Welcomed by shouts from his supporters as he made the pronouncement, Maurice Kamto, self proclaim winner of the 2018 Cameroon Presidential Election , called on President Paul Biya to peacefully hand over power .

“I invite the outgoing president to organise a peaceful way to transfer power,” Maurice Kamto told the press in the capital Yaounde.

“My mission was to take a penalty. I did it and I scored,” Kamto told supporters although he did not present any evidence to justify his claim to have won the October 7th 2018 Presidential Election.

The announcement of Maurice Kamto comes two days after Cameroon Minister of Territorial Administration Paul Atanga Nji had highlighted on Sunday 7th October 2018 that only Cameroon  Constitutional Council has the exclusive right to announce results, and that any form of challenge to the verdict without following legal process will  “not be tolerated”.
