The Metumah’s foundation has donated didactic materials and some basic food supplies worth Three Hundreds Thousands CFA to two orphanages in Fako Division in the South West Region of Cameroon. The donation by Metumah’s Foundation comes in as a boaster to reawaken the spirit of learning, love and creativity among the orphans who have been caught in the drag net of the ongoing Anglophone crisis in the North West and South West Region of Cameroon.
The two orphanages that received the donation from the Metumah’s Foundation were Grace of God Philanthropic Orphanage and Mountain Kids orphanage who welcomed the donation of the Metumah’s Foundation as catalyst to improve on the lives of the children during this moment of their lives.
The donation had school bags, books, pens, shoes, bags of rice, oil, and bags of salts just to name but these. This is not the first time that the Metumah’s Foundation is donating didactic and some basic food supplies to orphanages in the South West Region of Cameroon. Early this year, the foundation paid a visit to some Orphanages at Mile 14, a locality in the South West Region of Cameroon.
Mama Rose of Philanthropic Orphanage was very happy with the supports provided by the Metumahs Foundation and stated that “ these materials will help a lot in improving on the lives of these children as it will give them the opportunity to learn despite the ongoing crisis. We are very happy with the visit it shows that someone out there loves these children and your visit here today has reawakened hope and love in the lives of these children, and we pray that the almighty God continues to bless you.” Mama Rose of Philanthropic Orphanage told the Metumah’s Foundation.
Mami Ngwa of Mountain Kids Orphanage, appreciated the gifts from the Metumahs’s Foundation and told them that “just your presences here has boasted the morals of these children, Seeing that there are people out there thinking about them. And we want to assure you that we will use the materials that you have provided to the kids to impact on their lives.” Mami Ngwa told the Metumahs’s Foundation.
The CEO of the Metumah’s Foundation Wendy Metumah was very happy with the warm receptions they received from the two orphanages and promised the children that her foundation is going to do more to assist them in the months ahead
She equally praised the coordinators of the orphanages for their efforts in taking care of the children despite the limited resources at their deposals and she stated that the Metumah’s Foundation is friend to them and that the doors of the Metumah’s Foundation remain widely open for any humanitarian assistance.
Talking to the press, Wendy Metumah said “The orphans are our brothers and sisters, and we should show them love and provide their needs so that they can achieve their dreams just like any normal kids. The Bible says love your neighbor as yourself. If I love myself enough to get food for myself why can’t I help someone who isn’t better placed?
We decided to give them didactic materials because we know that education is a fundamental human right and must be promoted despite the ongoing crisis. The children still need to study, so they do not become left out in the journey of success. Moreover, school or no school, the children will need to eat, for we eat to live.
I want to use this opportunity to thank all those who contributed to the realization of this donation especially Invasion Wears, K-Health, Creartfrique and Relentless Woman International who were very instrumental. Not forgetting everyone on my team, family and friends. It is because you are that they are. May God bless you richly?”
Wendy Metumah concluded.
