Cameroon Minister of Defence Beti Assomo has raised a red alert to Army Chief of Staff General, Remy Ze Meka of potential threats to attack key areas in the nation’s capital Yaoundé by secessionist terrorist whom he said are being hosted in some key Anglophones neighborhoods in Yaoundé
This was in a confidential communiqué circulating on social media signed by the defence boss Beti Assomo recently. As to how the confidential communiqué made it way to the social media TNN cannot understand months after Cameroon Prime Minister Yang Philemon has warned against the release of confidential communiqué to the public and social media.,
According to Cameroon defence boss, the attackers plan to attack the nation’s capital is expected to be done between 1st October to 7th October 2018 when Cameroonians will be heading to the poll to vote for their new president or to add another Seven Years Mandate to President Paul Biya who have been in power since 6th November 1982.
General, Remy Ze Meka has been charged by the defence boss Beti Assomo to monitor top Anglophone neighborhoods in Yaoundé which he says are harboring some secessionist terrorist these areas are Obili, Biyem-Assi and Etoug-Egbe among others.
General, Remy Ze Meka has equally been charge to fish out those terrorist within those neighborhoods so as to protect the territorial integrity of Cameroon as the nation will be heading to the poll on the 7th October2018.
This is not the first time that Anglophones in the nation’s capital are coming under serious security surveillance since the eruption of the Anglophone crisis; several search operation and arrest have been carried out since this crisis began.
