Cameroon’s Constitutional Council has declared 85 year Paul Biya, winner of the October 7th 2018 presidential election.
The proclamation of results which was done only in the French Language despite the Bilingualism nature of the country, declared Biya Paul winner with an overwhelming victory of 71% of votes cast, seconded by, Maurice Kamto with 14% of the votes cast.
The results were read all in French right in front of the President of the Bilingualism commission, this act has been seen by Cameroonians as an acceptance by the constitutional council that elections did not take place in the Anglophone Regions.
Hence, no need to read in English since Anglophones did not take part in this year Presidential election as SDF lawyers had earlier pointed out during the post electoral hearings;if not why did the Council not read the results both in English and in French?
Maurice Kamto before now has questioned the objectivity of the results and pointed out that he won this year presidential Election.
